Details:
BiCon’s rooms are located in Cartmel college in the south west corner of the campus. All rooms in this college are listed as “superior ensuite”.
Room specifications:
All bedrooms have a wardrobe (half hanging and half shelves), internet access via wifi or ethernet cable, bed, desk, computer chair, private WC, washbasin and shower. The beds are single beds.
The university provides duvet, sheets, two pillows and towels.
Accessible rooms have lift access and accessible en-suite bathrooms. Please see the accessibility report for full details of these rooms including dimensions.
Kitchens:
Each flat has its own kitchen, complete with:
• Oven
• microwave
• dining table with chairs
• Kettle
• Toaster
• Fridge
• Freezer
• Dustpan and brush.
As the accommodation will be self-catered, you will need to provide your own cutlery and crockery, such as pots and pans; however, there are many places to go out and eat on campus if you do not wish to cook.

Flat details:
We will have exclusive use of a number of blocks, each block being the same size and having the same number of flats.
Flat share requests:
If you wish to share a flat with a particular person we will do our best to accommodate this but we cannot guarantee it.
Offsite accommodation:
We are aware the on-site accommodation may not meet some people’s needs and some people may wish to consider some of the many off-site accommodation options nearby. The BiCon team do not have the capacity to recommend or book any off-site accommodation for attenders, but we encourage people to share information and chat about this on the BiCon UK Facebook community.
